Pictorial Lines

For this project, we were tasked with finding pectorial lines. In the domain of "Pictorial Lines" there are three subtopics; Leading to a subject, Arrangement, and decorative. We were assigned to find five photos of each.

Lines Leading to a Subject:
Lines leading to a subject is when there is a determined line or lines, that is leading to something bigger or a subject. As you can see below I tried to capture as many lines that lead to a subject as I could.

Arrangement:
Arrangement is when the frame is made out of lines. An easy way of thinking about this is if you were to take away all the lines the frame/photo would be empty. Here are a couple of examples of Arrangement.

Decorative:
Decorative is when the frame is made out of lines, however, there is something in the background showing the viewer what the lines are on. If you were take away all the lines you would still see an obvious object, here are some examples of decorative below.

  1. I think you did a good job with using shadows with your leading lines to subjects. Very creative!

  2. I really enjoyed your arial view photo of the umbrella. It shows the decorative section very well and from a different perspective of not straight on.
